Topics include Contracts, Education and Racial Violence: The Freedmen’s Bureau in Virginia; One of the Longest and Most Important Marches in a Civilized Country: The Memory and Civil War Legacy of William Tecumseh Sherman; The Legacy of John Bell Hood: The Confederacy’s Most Controversial Commander; as well as a tour of the Chancellorsville Battlefield.
Our Keynote Speaker is Dana Shaof. Dana is the editor of Civil War Times, and will present “Give Them the Cold Steel (or Not): A Military and Cultural History of the Bayonet.”
Tickets for this event are just $95, and include a Friday night round table discussion, including hors d’oeuvres; lectures, lunch, and author book signings on Saturday, with a tour of Chancellorsville Battlefield on Sunday including newly preserved property on Stonewall Jackson’s flank attack.
